The Formation of The Chinese Orchestra

Currently the Formation of the Chinese Orchestra is very similar to the Symphony Orchestra .The numbers of player can be of only 30 but it can also have player up to 1000 .In the Chinese Orchestra , it does not only have chines musical instruments but also a few western instruments such as the cello, bass, and some other western percussion instruments .The chinese orchestra is divided into 4 section , pluck string , bowed string , woodwind and percussion. The instruments are catergorised by their production of sound.

Plucked String Instruments
From the term 'plucked string instrument', your will know that the instrument is played by plucking the string of the instrument. Some of the instrument in this section is play by striking the string or hitting the string s with a bamboo stick. There are about over 50 over types of plucking instruments . Those instrument that are commonly use are the pipa, liuqin ,yangqin ,konghou ,guzheng and ruan.

Bowed String Instruments
The generic term for the chinese bowed string instruments is Huqin, and there are more than 50 types of huqin instruments. Bowed string instruments are by using a bow. Most of the huqin has only 2 strings .the mostly used huqin are gaohu, zhonghu , erhu and banhu.

Woodwind Instruments
In woodwind section , it is categorised into bianling(with airstream passing through the holes type) , haozhu (by reverderation of lips ) ,huangshe (with a double-reed) and huanguan (with a reed) . Istruments dizi, xiao are bianling , horn and shaozi are haozhu, suona, bawu are huangshe and sheng are huanguan. Woodwind instrument are mostly invovled with the air or mouth.

Percussion Instruments
Percussion instruments are play by hitting them .The chinese percussion instruments have a long history and a sizable variety.
There are
