INSEAD Deputy Dean Arnoud De Meyer has kindly consented to join the tour, along with a few faculty members. About 25~30 MBA participants representing as many twelve nationalities are expected to be on the tour. The total number of person on the tour, including partners, would be around 30.
Major highlights of the events planned for the tour are the meetings with India’s President and Senior Ministers of the Indian polity, meetings with Indian corporate leaders including Ratan Tata, Narayan Murthy and other business leaders, and visits to a few facilities.
The tour will be hosted by India Brand Equity Fund (IBEF) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Apart from the business objectives, the tour also attempts to introduce the incredible tourism destinations in India to INSEAD including visits to the Taj Mahal. We will travel by Air Sahara, and stay at Taj Hotels and Oberoi Hotels properties.
This initiative started off as an idea during a discussion with Prof. Hellmut Schütte and Prof. Narayan Pant, and has been welcomed by the Indian Government (represented by the Indian High Commissioner to Singapore during his lunch meeting at INSEAD) and the hosting organizations viz. CII and IBEF.

The President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has agreed to meet the delegation on Monday 22nd August 2005. This will be no change in the schedule.

We would like to thank the CII and The India Brand Equity Foundation for their help in facilitating this meeting.
